Ben has over 20 years of investment experience working mostly with institutional retirement plans of all types across the country. This combination of investment expertise and detailed understanding of various retirement vehicles allows him to assist our clients across all their different sources of savings.
Ben joined Pillar full time in May, 2013 but has been involved with the firm since its founding in 1997. Before joining Pillar, he helped assist institutional clients with their investment needs at DB Advisors (a division of Deutsche Bank), INVESCO, and Aegon. He began his career as a commercial lender at Citizens Fidelity Bank, now PNC Bank.
Ben achieved his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA ) designation in 1997 and graduated from Miami University in Oxford, OH with a B.S. in Finance in 1985. He is an active member in the Louisville Society of Financial Analysts.
He is a long-time resident of Louisville. He and his wife, Ann, have two grown children. He enjoys sports, cycling, and reading. He is a life-long Chicago sports fan and is somewhat mystified by the large number of Green Bay Packer fans that exist in Louisville.
