PRIVACY

PFA is committed to safeguarding the confidential information of its current and prospective clients. We hold all personal information provided to our firm in the strictest confidence. These records include all personal information we collect from current, previous, and prospective clients connected with the services we provide. We do not disclose information to non-affiliated third parties, except as permitted by law. If we were to anticipate such a change in firm policy, we would be prohibited under the law from doing so without advising clients first. We use the financial information that clients provide to help them meet their personal financial goals while guarding against any real or perceived infringements of their privacy rights. Our policy concerning personal information is listed below.

We limit employee and agent access to information only to those who have a business or professional reason for knowing, and only to non-affiliated parties as permitted by law. For example, federal regulations allow us to share a limited amount of information about clients with brokerage firms to execute securities transactions on their behalf. We maintain a secure office and computer environment to ensure that clients’ data is not placed at unreasonable risk. The categories of nonpublic personal information that we collect from a client depend upon the scope of the client engagement. It will include information about personal finances, social security numbers, account numbers, information about health to the extent it is needed for the planning process, information about transactions between clients and third parties, and, in some cases, information from consumer reporting agencies.

For unaffiliated third parties that require access to our clients’ personal information, including financial service companies, consultants, and auditors, we also require strict confidentiality in our agreements with them and expect them to keep this information private. Federal and state regulators also may review firm records as permitted under law.

We do not provide current or prospective clients’ personally identifiable information to mailing list vendors or solicitors for any purpose. Personally identifiable information about clients will be maintained during the time they are clients. For the required time after that, such records are required to be kept by federal and state securities laws. After this necessary period of record retention, all such information will be destroyed.

Investment Management

A primary component of your plan is establishing clear guidelines of how your investments are managed and an asset allocation appropriate for achieving your unique goals. Each investment utilized has a specific purpose and fills a need within your plan.

When implementing and managing your portfolio, we take care to ensure that each investment you own is held in the most advantageous account. For instance, it is more efficient for some investments to be held in an IRA or 401(k) account, while others are better owned in a taxable account or Roth IRA.

Your investments are monitored on an ongoing basis so they can be evaluated and rebalanced as needed. This review keeps your investment portfolio in line with your plan and on target to meet your goals.

We keep you informed through regular communications, and quarterly reporting. We strongly encourage you to meet with us at least annually to see how you are progressing with your plan.
