Ben D. Allison
CFA
Partner and Financial Advisor
Ben has over 25 years of investment experience working mostly with institutional retirement plans of all countries. This combination of investment expertise and a detailed understanding of various retirement vehicles allows him to assist our clients across all their different sources of savings.
Ben joined Pillar full-time in May 2013 but has been involved with the firm since its founding in 1997. He began his career as a commercial lender at Citizens Fidelity Bank, now PNC Bank. Ben then helped assist institutional clients with their investment needs at DB Advisors (a division of Deutsche Bank), INVESCO, and Aegon N.V. He graduated from Miami University in Oxford, OH, with a B.S. in Finance in 1985 and achieved his Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation in 1997. He is an active member of the Louisville Society of Financial Analysts and was appointed a Trustee of the Judicial Form Retirement System by the Governor of Kentucky.
He is a long-time resident of Louisville, and he and his wife, Ann, have two grown children. Ben enjoys sports, cycling, and reading. He is a life-long Chicago sports fan and is somewhat mystified by the large number of Green Bay Packer fans in Louisville.
